Aldebaran Labs is committed to your privacy. Our apps are designed to collect as little data as possible.

Data stored locally on your device:

• All content you create within our apps (such as thesis chapters, research notes, kitchen measurements, or saved regulations) is stored locally on your device only.
• We do not have access to this data.
• This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or share:

• Personal identification information (name, email, address)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Any content you create within our apps

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Some of our apps offer optional paid subscriptions. All purchases are processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address.

Purchase history and subscription status are managed by Apple. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information on how Apple handles your payment data.

4. Third-Party Services

RevenueCat: Some of our apps use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymized, non-personal purchase data to facilitate subscription management. This data is used solely for processing transactions and does not include any personal information you enter into our apps.

Firebase (FAR Pilot AI only): FAR Pilot AI uses Google Firebase to authenticate users anonymously and to process AI queries via Firebase Cloud Functions. Firebase may collect anonymized usage data such as request counts and error logs. No personally identifiable information is transmitted. Please refer to Google Firebase's Privacy Policy for details.

AI Services (FAR Pilot AI only): When you submit a question through the AI assistant in FAR Pilot AI, your query text is sent to third-party AI services (including Anthropic and OpenAI) via Firebase Cloud Functions for processing. Query text is used solely to generate a response and is not stored, linked to your identity, or used for training purposes beyond what is described in those providers' policies. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy and OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details.

5. FAA Disclaimer (FAR Pilot AI)

FAR Pilot AI provides FAA regulation information for reference and educational purposes only. It is not an official FAA publication. Always verify information against official FAA sources before making any flight decisions. Aldebaran Labs is not responsible for decisions made based on information provided by this app.

6. Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit your personal data, there is no personal data stored on our servers that could be compromised. All data you enter into our apps remains on your device under the protection of iOS security measures.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our apps after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
